Secret Project

Hi healthy eaters!
So by the title of this post you might be wondering right now what this secret project actually is. Well, it’s  a Polish-German project created by people studying international journalism, here in Lodz and their co-partners from Germany and it's called 'TANDEM'. It must be said that Germans came to visit Poland first for a whole week and then polish students flew to Germany for the same amount of time. Both groups were asked to prepare a presentation based on whatever  they would like, nonetheless, it had to include the country they were in. So there was a really nice and kind girl from Germany, who decided to make a presentation about food and habits of eating of Poles. And basically, that is why we took part in it, because they’d found our blog and asked us to collaborate with them. Frankly, it was such an awesome experience! We had an opportunity to meet new people and share our ideas and standpoints. Obviously, we didn’t forget to make something really tasty and pretty quick, taking into account preparation time then.  Below, we can see what we’ve prepared!

Pink chard noodles.

Hi healthy eaters!
Spring is coming. Certainly. We can notice it in green leaves, colourful flowers, in vegetables at street markets and finally, on our plates. Thanks to the increasing amount of possibilities connected with seasonal ingredients, we are now searching for inspirations and recipes to celebrate one of our favouite part of the year. Food sites are now dressed up with beautiful colours staring with green and ending on maroon. And the last one has been also presented in our kitchen recently. As we have found a fantastic recipe on kwestasmaku.com, we felt inspired and prepared our version of noodles with chard then. So here it is, in front of you guys, quintessence of spring.

Carrot cake

Hi healthy eaters!
Nothing beats carrot cake, especially this one, because it’s the lightest and the healthiest carrot cake you may ever come across. This sugar-free beauty uses all types of nuts added to sweeten the cake. It’s perfect for any occasion, a meeting with friends, family meeting, while watching  movie with your beloved one or maybe for your beloved one to treat him/her like prince/princess?  It’s so delicious and good enough to serve it without anything else. Additionally, we would like  to stress that even if you’re on some sort of diet, you also can have a piece of this cake as it’s the healthiest recipe you’ll ever read. Also if you try to avoid sugar as much as possible or even if you plan to quit it, our carrot cake will do everything to help you. Whenever you have sugar drops in blood, take a piece of it and it should do its thing, because of the natural sugar included. Prepare it on your own and let us know what you think about it!

Breakfast barley.

Hi healthy eaters!
Finally a warmer month came to visit us on this side of the Globe. Hopefully, it will shine for a really long time! While the weather is so good to us, we should not waste any minute, just grab a bag and go for a walk, discover places we’ve never been to, explore spots we’ve never heard of. Be adventurous! To do all of that you have to have energy in order to do all things you simply want to. So you know…  first let me eat breakfast! Today we prepared barely, which is a little bit sweeter than our usual breakfast meal, nonetheless, it’s that kind of good ‘sugar’. All the ingredients have a lot of essential nutrients (more about it in the brand new section called ‘nutrients’). It’s extremely important to feed your body with all ‘these valuable stuff’. So basically, our proposition is to have a little bit of fun in the kitchen and if you like sweeter meals, then definitely this one is for you. So remember, before you decide to  move your body anywhere outside, have a meal! After you body receive all the nutrients, it will certainly function heaps better. We highly recommend breakfast barely for you to try out on your own and don’t forget to let us know if it’s in your taste!

Street Food Festival

Hi healthy eaters!
Today we’re not gonna talk about food and recepies… alright, we will but not about our stuff this time. So you might be curious, by the title of this post, what actually is this Street Food Festival. There’s not simplest explanation than the one we’re about to tell you in a second. Basically, such festival is a brilliant chance for upcoming restaurants to promote themselves and encourage people to ‘come over their place’. Obviously, it’s not only directed to those new pubs and ‘food-producers’, everyone can actually apply to get their space on the plot during this one particular day when it starts. We’re not going to lie, it was just awesome – the food, the people, the atmosphere! There were so many food trucks with eye-catching menu, tons of spots with other food and restaurants as well. They served from healthy burgers, dumplings with veggies or meat through sushi, cakes and pretty sweets to fresh juices and other drinks that just looked so goooood. No words to describe, just try to imagine that! We wanted to try as much as possible, but you know…. there were too many food sellers than we had expected. Additionally, thousands of people came and it was pretty tough to move in such crowd, but don’t worry – we managed to get through them! What is more, it was a great chance for us as well to see and taste what others serve and get inspire as well. And it all took place in our home city – Łódź! So if you like such events and want to explore the city, come visit us during the next Street Food Festival!
